A Time to Share... {Giveaway}

Stand By for Winners!

So are you ready for a GIVEAWAY!!!!
'Cause By Crikey...THAT was a crap year!!!

Between the Global economic downfall, the Loss of Michael Jackson and Patrick Swayze, and my 9 months of Cancer treatments I have to truly say, it was the Year the music died and the dancing stopped!
All right who bumped the record player!.......scraaaaaaaaaatch!

So I'm picturing a wack-a-mole game with 2009 popping out of the holes and I'm beating the snot outta it! WELCOME 2010!!! Take a good look at poor 2009 here and take fair warning...I'm done playing nicey nice.

So the first thing on the agenda for 2010....

Dance like no one is watching!
Okay...Confession...actually I will make sure no one is watching, as Fhubby will be back in Barcelona and I'll wait until lil' Chooch is in bed...Then I'm pluggin in the ipod, crankin up the volume and burning a hole in my carpet. Bonnie Tyler can do that to ya!

So it's time to celebrate and it's time to dance;

No more Nausea
No more Bone pain
No more Chemo hangovers
My Eyebrows are returning
I have 3mm of fuzz on my head
I can take Jax on Bike rides
I can play hopscotch
I can plan our vacation
and I can drink a Mojito
and slowly...but surely...my brain cells are re-aligning

So in celebration I'm giving a few Choochmagooz goodies away.

The rules are as follows:

for 1 entry: Leave a comment below, and for fun let me know what your all time favorite song to boogie to is (you know the one...no ones home, you crank the volume, grab the spatula (I've hidden all our hairbrushes!) and you pull out your best Tina Turner moves) That's the confession I'm looking for. Be sure to leave an email address so I may contact you if you are not linked to Blogger.

For 3 additional entries: Share this link on your Blog, or via facebook, or if you have neither you can just email the friends you think would be interested. (be sure to cc: choochmagooz@yahoo.com - email addresses WILL NOT be recorded...I have no time or patience for that!!)

and of course followers will automatically get an extra entry.

No need to post several comments in order to gain the extra entries...I'll be picking the winners the old school way with a pen, some paper and a hat!

So now what's up for grabs!!!

1st place will have 1st pick of the prizes
2nd place will get 2nd choice
and of course 3rd place, will just get whatever I send them ..hehe.

And the goodies are....

Your choice of either a Princess Tiara or Kings Crown

Little girl Blue...will fit sz 16mo's to 4 or 5 yrs.
1st as a dress and then as a shirt over leggings or jeans

and finally,

Your choice of Shabby Chic Boutique Bunting
(I'll get some photo's up in flickr soon...) but think, French Laundry, Rockin Robots,
Blooms and Butterflies, Circus Tent...and more!

Flickr photo's up!!! : Click Here
(warning...I took advantage of the sun...but buntings not quite complete..
I will complete your choice and ship within 1 week)

Good luck everyone....
I'll be drawing the winners on the 24th of January
until then...

Happy Dancing!

My 9-month-old daughter LOVES to dance and has for... well... ever since she figured out how to nod her head! Lately we've been listening to a lot of disco, which seems to be her favorite type of music. If she's crabby, I just turn on some music, and -- instant happiness! The favorite song these days? "Le Freak" by Chic, of course!

I'm happy to hear you are done with chemo, and that life is starting to move forward for you again!

"Mr. Roboto" by STYX is among the many songs that make chores more enjoyable at my house. I've been following your blog for just a short time, but I must say it's already one of my favorites. I wish you much happiness in 2010.

For me its not just a song but the whole CD. Im gonna have to list 2 artists, they keep me up... Dave Mathews, funky, flirty and a little sexy and my old school favorite would be YES, the house always seems to clean itself when they are on... :) CONGRATS to you and the new year... rock on!

In the Phelan household we dance...ALOT. Lately it has been "Tonight's going to be a good night" by Black Eyed Peas...for no other reason than it is a good song to cut a rug to.
Glad to hear you are well...when is your next trip to the land of Canada?

You are such a star, Mari. I wish I had a penny for every time I've thought of you and prayed (in my own way) for you. I'd put it all together and buy you a pink yacht! You are truly an inspiration to those whose lives you have touched, both pre and post C-word. I can't wait to finally have that bloody drink we've been banging on about for a year now. Soon, soon.
Give my love (and Rio's) to sweeet Jo. And speaking of Jo, who doesn't get up and dance when "Lady (hear me tonight)" by Modjo comes on?! Nothing makes me want to shake (more like jiggle, these days) it like that one.
Sending love and appreciation from one Spanuck to the other! xoxoxxoxoxo

I totally agree-Dance like no one is watching. I've been dancing with the boys since they were born! There are so many songs that I love to dance to and that bring back memories! I love top 20 but also some oldies but goodies like, Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel,Mickey by Toni Basil, Mony Mony by Billy Idol, Red Red Wine by UB40 and Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard are just some I love. And I can also be caught dancing to the Beatles, and the Beach boys and all Michael Jackson songs! Right now I love watching Jeff and Luke bust out a groove. They love ALL music! Some how Luke always ends up trying some sort of 4 year old break dancing and Jeffrey always does a booty shake! They truly make me laugh and smile! Here's to 2010 being the best year ever!!!! Love ya!

These days I've been dancing to the beat of my own drum...it's a little off beat, but who cares. Funhouse by Pink, She Wolf by Shakira and of course ANYTHING by MJ or Def Leppard will get me groovin. Kenton just loves noise, so the little Schmoo will bop to whatever we got on. Glad to hear you are doing well, miss you like hell and wish we weren't so far apart. Give big Besos to JoJo and hugs to Jason. Love ya Lots, Miss ya More....YaYa

OK, so here goes my second attempt at posting. The first time I did it the girls were starting to lose it and I was going to have to start making dinner, it was mayhem! Fortunately, your entry rules inspired me to throw on some Bruce Springsteen (Dancing in the Dark) . . . because how can a woman home alone resist that whole "middle-America, jeans and white t-shirt" genre? Get's me every time. The girls responded with real enthusiasm and we danced right through dinner prep and to the table. We (the girls especially) have also been enjoying ANYTHING by Joel Plasket. Even J gets up and dances with us when he's here.

So thank you, for your wonderful self, your lovely blog and your fabulous contest that saved us from ruin that night by getting us to throw on our dancing shoes!!

Hi Mari,
So many songs make me want to get up and shake my booty!! It just depends on the mood at the time but anything with a latin flavour is always good! Can't help myself when I hear Las Ketchup, Asereje (ketchup song), Livin' la vida loca, Ricky Martin,It's Raining Men, The Weather Girls or Love Shake, B-52's.
But now that I am living in the steel city home of the Full Monty I can't not mention Hot Stuff, Donna Summer!! So many fab memories flooding back!
We have loved following your blog Mari now that we are a little further away it makes us feel closer to you and Jo, but you are always in our hearts and prayers. You are a star, an inspiration and someone we are so fortunate to call our friend. Love and Kisses from us all and Rubén insists on saying he thinks the best shake your booty song has to be one on his Bob the builder sound track!! xoxoxoxox

Hey Mari..
Cutting it fine but we're here. Well for starters you're just an incredible, inspirational and truly amazing gal and we have all had so much respect for you this past year. Your strength and determination have seen you through to the other side and we're all so proud of you.
You've managed to fit in socialising, making beautiful things and organising fantastic parties too..superwoman.
Well Ismene and I just love dancing to Beyonce but ever since Christmas we've had to have Jay Z and Alesha Keys 'Empire state of mind' every day (no joke every single day)..an addiction you may call it.

However all time favourite since I was little has to be The source featuring Candi Staton 'You got the Love'. I have listened and danced to this at many times through my life and nearly every day when Ismene was in my tummy. She loves it of course.
Big kisses to you, Jojo and Jason.xxxxxxxx
