Those are some lovely fabrics!

Hmm, my favorite tradition would have to be either decorating the tree, or decorating cookies because those are the two things my mom really took time to spend with me when I was little.

I just love those fabrics. Thank you!
My fave tradition: English Christmas "crackers"--making a big snapping sounds when they are "cracked" and filled with silly little trinkets, a (bad) joke, and a paper party crown. So fun and goofy and a part of my English heritage.

Laura said...

I love decorating our Christmas tree: opening up the boxes and remembering where each ornament came from, finding the perfect spot on the tree for each one, and enjoying the warm sparkly lights.

These are so pretty. My favorite traditon is that on the day after Thanksgiving, we always put up our tree and our decorations. Then a week after Christmas we take a all the ornaments off the tree and the decorations off the walls and we redecorate the Christmas tree with snowflakes and blue ribbon for January.

Anne said...

My favorite Christmas tradition was baking and decorating shaped sugar cookies with our son and daughter, now grown. My husband manned the video camera while our two youngsters cut out their cookies after I helped them roll the dough. After the cookies baked, the kids decorated them with colored icing and sprinkles. So many fond memories are attached to these special holiday events. Watching those videos always makes me a bit teary. Kids grow up too quickly!

Susan said...

this fabric is JUICY!! thanks for the opportunity.

My favorite Christmas tradition is taking thermos of cocoa and get in the car and drive around slowly through our neighborhood and others looking at how the homes were decorated or lit. This was during the mid-late 60's. I did it with my kids also, but they hit the "oh mom, that's so lame" stage, long before I did. LOL

I PERSONALLY still like to do this!
Susan

Nice fabric!
My favorite part of the holidays is decorating the tree. I love its foresty smell and unpacking all the little ornaments we've had since I was little. Some I even made myself as a kid, some were made my parents... it just makes me feel like a child again, eager for Santa to come.

A good holiday memory... Every year provides a new one, and in a week, I am sure I will have a new favorite :)

In 2004, my husband and I got married 7 days before Christmas. The entire week leading up to Christmas was so magical as I spent my first week being married. It was amazing and a wedding fit in so well with the spirit of the season :)

My family has been built through marriages, divorces, and more marriages so my mother decided years ago that since it would be impossible to all get together on Christmas that we would start having Christmas on New Years Eve. We do stockings, Christmas music, a big Christmas dinner with ham, and our family & Santa gifts then. It makes things a lot less stressful on Christmas and I still get to see everyone. Thank you for participating in the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day. kcarlson1152[at]hotmail.com

my family is the smallest fmily in the world (just me and my parents) so xmas has a new meaning since i got married. my husband's family is huge and loud, my parents spend xmas with all of us and it's a lot of fun. so i've adopted their traditions like taking off one of your shoes so that everyone can put your presents around it. then it's funny to see people hopping around with just one shoe on going to put presents in other people's shoes. hhhhahhhhhahahahaha
